Some while ago I explored ways to automate video editing, as it is so very time-consuming. Apart from all the time spent in editing software (I use DaVinci Resolve), you might find yourself searching hours for appropriate clips, memes, and b-roll (as YouTube requires a lot of quick cuts, movements, and reactions nowadays to keep the audience hooked).

The result was me writing an automated video collage creator (among other things). Here is a sample of what I created with it.

Looking at it now, I feel it's pretty useful, and I should revisit the project. I explain a minute into the video above why I ended up abandoning this side project back then... too early, maybe?

I might create some other fun collages with it, now that I have a YouTube channel again where I can post stuff. 🙂

Anyway. No, I don't watch HasanAbi anymore at the moment, even though I loved discovering him way back when he first became popular; he is very witty and funny, and through his streams I learned about emotes, zoomer lingo, various popular Twitch streamers, e-sports, attitudes of kids in high school and collage, and much more.

I feel his massive popularity with the under-25-year-old set helps explain a lot of what is going on in society right now; where some adults are stumped about today's youth and how some young Lefties are so weird, I often just nod and think "yeah they grew up with HasanAbi takes," haha.
