A new way to defeat negative self-talk... through a catchy, personalized song

Lately I've been playing around with generating AI songs. I've started to notice that some of these "AI songwriting sessions" felt strangely therapeutic. So I got this idea... make self-therapy the main focus in creating a song.

In this video I give a brief overview what that could look like. The challenging part is in figuring out what kind of lyrics, music style, and instrumentation works best for you - it needs to be incredibly catchy (easy to stick in your mind), reflect your current challenges in some way, but also not be negative. We want the song to replace negative self-talk, so the lyrics need to be chosen along the lines of what the ideal fictitious friend would tell you to give you hope, cheer you up, and remind you of all that's good in your life.

Honestly this video did not turn out all that great... I struggled with making the songwriting session personal - but not too personal for this public video. And then negativity crept in again (as it easily does!), and the resulting first drafts of the song did not really meet the goal of being a super-catchy positive song. (Of course, there is limited time in recording such a video as well.)

But hopefully you catch my drift, run your own experiments, and enjoy figuring out - how do you talk to yourself? How would you rather talk to yourself? And what kind of messages are most effective to accomplish that?

Exploring this AI-assisted songwriting process might make you learn more about yourself - and what makes you "tick" - than you imagine!

All without having to pay a professional therapist. (Which might be a better option in some other countries, but here in the U.S., it can be cost-prohibitive.)
